COMEDK 2016 | COMEDK EXAM 2016 DETAILS



Purpose of (COMEDK) Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) was to establish an examination body, which can segregate merit candidates, through the medium of exams, for the admission in medical and engineering colleges of Karnataka. To carry out this purpose, a body has been established named as COMEDK common entrance examination, on annual basis, in almost 134 centers in the state and country. This year 2015, the candidates, will be writing COMEDK 2016 in  May 2016, to get admission into undergraduate Medical and Engineering courses like MBBS, BDS, B.Tech and B.E. of Karnataka.

Eligibility Criteria for Engineering and Architecture (B.Tech/ B.E/ B.Arch)

  • Minimum age of the applicant must be 17 year old, as on 31 December 2015.
  • Candidate must have qualified, 10+2 (or PUC or equivalent exam), from a recognized State/ Central board.
  • Core subjects must include Physics, Mathematics along English. Optional subjects may include Chemistry/ Bio Tech./ Biology etc.
  • Aggregate attained by candidates must not be less than 45%. However, for ST/ SC/ OBC of Karnataka, minimum marks required is 40%.
  • Aspirants of Architecture must score 50% marks in 10+2 (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates). Also, must have appeared for NATA and should have scores, at least, 80 marks out of 200.

Eligibility Criteria For Medical (MBBS/ BDS)

  • Minimum age of the applicant must be 17 years old, as on 31 December 2015.
  • Candidates should have cleared 10+2, with Physic, Biology and English as core subjects, from a recognized board.
  • General candidates must have scored, both in aggregate and in PCB, upto 50% in qualifying exam. Whereas, SC/ ST / OBC candidates, of the State, need to score upto 40% only.
  • Even in English subject, general category candidates must have attained 50% marks, however, for SC/ ST and OBC of Karnataka State, the same 40%.
Candidates who will be writing their qualifying exam, this year, may also apply. Admission will be granted to them, if they manage to secure marks, as stated above and, if, they satisfy other criteria including qualifying COMEDK 2015.

COMEDK 2016 Application Form Procedure

Application Form of COMEDK 2016 will be released in due course. Forms will be released online, on the official website and candidates will not be provided with any other medium to attain or submit it.
After filling COMEDK 2016 application form online, candidates must download a copy of it and enclose it, with Demand Draft and other required documents, and post it to address below:

COMEDK 2016 Admit Card

Candidates will be issued admit card, till Mid April 2016. It will be issued online only, for those candidates who will submit form in time and in exact prescribed format.
It is a vital document, on the basis of which, entry in exam hall will be granted to candidate. Those who will not carry it, will be banned from entering in the exam hall or write the exam.

COMEDK 2016 Result

COMEDK 2016 result will be issued as Test Scores and Final Merit List. Authorities will first issue candidate’s scores in May, for each section and overall, and then later, probably in June, it will issue merit list. Candidates will be able to check COMEDK 2016 result from the official website, against roll number and application number
Merit list will contain names of entrants, who will score, either upto or more that cutoff. For Counselling, candidates will be called as per their merit.
