CDS 2016 Selection Procedure
CDS 2016 Selection Procedure is comprised of the following stages:
- Written Examination
- Interview/ Intelligence Test/ Personality Test
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
Detailed Selection Procedure of CDS 2016
1. Written Examination:
- UPSC will conduct the CDS 2016 Exam which is a Written Examination on February, 2016 (Sunday). The exam will consist of Objective Type questions only which the candidates will have to answer in 2 hours and the maximum marks for the written examination is 100 for each subject.
- The candidates who aim to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, andAir force Academy will have to appear in the written test comprising of subjects – English, General Knowledge and Elementary mathematics. While, for the candidates who will appear for Officers Training Academy will have to take the written test comprising of subjects – English and General Knowledge.
The candidates who will qualify in the written exam will be selected for the next round as per the CDS 2016 Selection Procedure, which is intelligence and personality test to be conducted by the Service Selection Board.
2. Interview/ Personality Test: Candidates who will qualify the written exam will be called to attend the interview. As per the Selection Procedure of CDS 2015, those who will do well in the Interview/ Personality Test will qualify to proceed to next round.
3. Document Verification: Candidates who will qualify the Interview/ Personality Test will be called for the Document Verification.
4. Medical Examination: Finally, the candidates recommended by the Services Selection Board will have to undergo a medical examination by a Medical Officers of the Board of Service. Women candidates will undergo Medical Examination by a male/ female doctors/ specialists/ Gynaecologist. At last, the candidates who will be declared absolutely fit by the Medical Board will be admitted to the academy.
